Moving Emotions, Building Resilience

2017 workshop for the Beliar Wetlands and Fremantle community
Emotional resilience workshop flyer

Many of us have been very affected by the destruction of the wetlands and the actions to stop Roe 8.

Harnessing the power of dance, movement and mindfulness practices this event is there to help us to process our emotions. We will begin with a movement meditation, ‘Our Sacred Earth’, which is a unique process that honours our planet. Then we will learn mindfulness tools to stay centred and grounded in triggering situations, whether that is in our lives in general or in future protests.

Ajay Hawkes will be facilitating and Mark Steinward from One Tribe will offer sound healing on Didgeridoo. Ajay is an experienced psychotherapist and mindfulness practitioner.

When: Sunday 19th Feb 2017 from 11-1, followed by optional potluck lunch
Where: Wetlands Centre, 184 Hope Rd
Bring: water, loose clothing, a cushion & a dish to share if you want to eat with us
Cost: Free
